What did we get up to in September/October?
Another two months gone! Halloween’s over, next up is Christmas. What is happening to 2015?! Where is it going? I have to admit I’ve been incredibly lazy these last two months (sorry Joy and blogger peeps!). Balancing a social life and full-time work has me exhausted (I go to bed at 9pm on a weekday… when did I get so old?!) which hasn’t left much time for blogging.
I HAVE been reading though! While not as much as I would like, I am slowly getting through my TBR pile, and adding more to my list! Next on my TBR? WINTER! I need the final to the Lunar Chronicle series like… NOW. So expect some reviews from me soon (I’ll tie myself to my laptop if I have to).
What have I been doing with myself other than working and not blogging? (Sleeping… Sleeping all the time. I kid…. mostly.) Well, I’ve been spending quite a bit of my spare time catching up with friends… which has been really awesome! I spent the long weekend on a well-deserved mini-break at Avoca Beach, which was a great break from the hustle and bustle of work life. Looking forward to taking some more time off (hopefully a longer holiday is on my horizons really soon)!
How has everyone been? I hope everyone had a SPOOPY Halloween and a lovely couple of months!
Hi, hi, hi! Yes, it’s the end of October and once again we haven’t really been that great with doing our monthly wrap ups. Bi-monthly is still kinda cool right?
What did I get up to during September? Gosh, I can barely remember! I did go down the coast for the long weekend with my boyfriend for a well-deserved break. What’s more, I didn’t really have internet so I really managed to switch off and not check work emails like a crazy person!
I know we have neglected the blog these couple of months due to other commitments, but as work winds down and Christmas approaches, we’ll have more free time to read and blog! Woop woop! I do have a HUGE backlog of reviews I need to write, because even though I’ve been quite MIA lately, I’ve still been reading, attending events (Illuminae launch yaaas), and buying books. Yeah, the wallet isn’t very happy.
So let’s hope November chills down a little, because I’m ready to come back and share my thoughts on ALL THE BOOKS!
Please ignore the messy stack of books in the back, I’ve been cleaning up my room and have made space for a new bookcase (yet to be purchased), so it’s a bit of a mess these days. In September/October, I’ve significantly added to my TBR pile haha. Some of these books were bought, while others were from a range of AMAZING Aussie publishers. Of course, I had to get myself a copy of the new Harry Potter illustrated edition because AMAZE. I can’t stop flicking through and staring at the beautiful pages. <3 <3
My room is still in renovation mode (when will it end?!) so I’ll just have to list my newest additions:
Charmed Season 9: Volume 1, 2 and 3 (Charmed Comic Series #1) – Paul Ruditis
Supervillains Anonymous – Lexi Dunne
The Winner’s Crime – Marie Rutkoski
