Guys, I’m currently in a reading slump. Not that I don’t want to read … but I’m just so tired and as a result I can’t be bothered to use my brain.
I’m up at 6:30AM and at work by 8:15AM. I usually work till 5:45PM and I don’t get home until 6:30PM.
I still bring my book to work with me, but I don’t usually get a seat on the train so that makes reading difficult. And reading at 7:30 in the morning? Yeah…I’m usually reading the same page over and over again because nothing sinks in.
When I get home I’m so tired from absorbing information all day that I just do not feel like reading and processing more words. This sucks and I’m still trying to adjust to the working schedule so I really hope the reading slump is only temporary.
I know this is a lame excuse but please bare with me as I adjust to the job of work-life balancing. Alana is in the same situation as me and I now understand why she’d prefer to just flop into bed and do nothing at night.
Thank god for tv right? 😛
Is there anyone else facing a similar reading slump due to school/uni/work? I would love to hear how you balance work and reading!
